Apple iPhone
Formerly known as Apple Computer, Inc., Apple Inc. is an American multinational corporation that specialises in the design and manufacture of high-tech consumer electronic products. It was first established in April 1, 1976 in Cupertino, California. Its primary products are iPods, Apple iPhones, and computer hardware and software.

For years, Apple Computer, Inc. focused on the production of computer hardware and software. It Introduced the Apple II microcomputer in March 1977. In 1983, it introduced the first commercial computer to use a graphical user interface (GUI) called Lisa. In 1984, it launched the Macintosh, which became a phenomenal success.
To keep up with the competitive computer and electronics markets, Apple introduced the iMac, which was designed by a team led by Jonathan Ive. In 2001, Apple introduced its first portable digital audio player called iPod. In 2003, Apple's iTunes Store was opened. Over the years, Apple was able to come out with several variants of the iPod: the iPod shuffle, iPod nano, iPod classic and iPod touch.
On June 9, 2007, Apple Computer, Inc dropped "computer" form its name making its brand name Apple Inc. The change of company name signaled the expansion from manufacturing personal computers to manufacturing consumer electronics products.
Apple Inc. is the maker of the much talked-about Apple iPhone, which is an Internet-enabled multimedia mobile phone with multi-touch screen with virtual keyboard and buttons. The Apple iPhone was introduced in the United States in June 29, 2007 and in other countries subsequently.

Named as the Invention of the Year in 2007 by Time Magazine, the Apple iPhone integrates all the functions that are usually found in different electronic gadgets. Apple iPhone has functions that include those of a portable media player (iPod) and camera phone, on top of the usual text messaging and visual voicemail. The Apple iPhone is a quad-band mobile phone, which has international networking capability.
The Apple iPhone has a plethora of features that when integrated with the network provider features allow call merging, call holding, caller ID and conferencing. Apple iPhone, however, doesn't support voice dialing. The Apple iPhone can hook up the user on an Internet when it's connected to a local area Wi-Fi or a wide area EDGE network. However, the Apple iPhone is not able to use 3G or HSDPA networks. The Apple iPhone also has an e-mail program that supports HTML and attachments in PDF, Word and Excel formats.
